We just returned from a wonderful post-Christmas vacation to Bretagne/Brittany, the northwestern region of France. Darren & Tisha accompanied us for the fun and sights so we had a great time. It made us realize just how much we miss our families! We also visited the freezing beaches of Normandy (again and probably not the last time-it's an American "must" if you're in the area). Also on the tour were Mont St. Michel, Saint-Malo, Cancale, Dinan, Rennes, and Chahaignes. I wish we could've seen Quimper and some other towns but we did all four adults and four children could do in six days :) We paid Buster, our former dog who is now French, a visit. He lives in the last town mentioned which is actually in the Loire Valley. Needless to say, none of us wants to spend any more time driving in the car any time soon.
All of us adults spent New Year's Eve in the Bonabon Chateau with some German and Italian tourists as well as with a very bad DJ . . . but the food was delicious! It was an experience to remember.
Here's a few pics that will begin the next few weeks of documenting our visit. Enjoy the New Year!
